Product Overview

Wow! That’s a towel? You got to be kidding me. It’s so compact. Yes, it’s a vacuum sealed cube the size of a checkerboard square, great for saving space and weight. Add water to the cube then behold, they unfold to a normal size hand towel. They absorb like a sponge about nine times it’s weight and quick dries. The towels are also good for cooling and insulation. Lightload Towels can also be used as static electricity insulation, tinder, padding, a mask and more. The 12x24 inch towels are very durable and come in a three pack and weigh .5oz: great add-ons to survival bags and first aid kits.

    Great little towels for hiking

Posted by David M. Kleinon on 11th Jun 2018

june 26, 2017 Awesome little towels for hiking. They last for a while, even when washed. I can usually get a few months of weekend hiking out of one. They hold a lot of moisture, are very light, and dry quickly. Whenever I forget them, I am always kicking myself. If you sweat while engaging in outdoor activities, these little towels are awesome. Just bought some more.

Opens without water ........... great in an emergency

By May 7, 2018 I truly love this product. Especially like the fact they can be opened while they are still dry. Don't have to have water to use them. The one time I have used them in the field was working at one of my fathers houses. Accidentally scraped a scab off my arm. Unknown to me I bled like a stuck pig. Was able to open one of the towels and clean up my arm. It was great to have the towels with me. Have them in both my vehicles now and usually have one on me constantly.

    Compact, light and handy.

April 30, 2018 Soft, absorbent and so tightly shrunk that they take up very little space. Definitely useful for ultralight backpacking, as well as regular travel or home uses. Took several camping in Utah and used them for cleaning up my hands, face and dishes. They rinse out well and hold up for a few uses, depending on how hard you scrub. When no longer useful for that, I let them dry, and later used for a bit of kindling in places where it is against the rules to collect brush.

you never know when these will come in handy!!

June 6, 2017 I always travel with these now! great for crashing at places where there might not be an extra towel. I get a few uses out of them as well, once you wring them dry you can roll them up into a little ball and dry it out. I also bring these on camping trips where I can wipe away a lot of dust by dipping it in a bit of water. I actually bring these on my snowboard trips as well on the mountain. at a few dollars each, its nice to just always pack a few of these in your luggage or backpack you never know when they will come in handy

    Great piece of UL gear

May 21, 2018 Used these to replace a microfiber pack towel. Packs down small, dries quickly and are quite tough.

Great balance of weight and utility, as long as you activate it first

Posted by R. Linebergeron on 11th Jun 2018

February 26, 2017 I took these on a backpacking trip in the Appalachian mountains recently. As you can see from the image, they add less than an ounce to your pack. I've been struggling with the towel issue for awhile. Microfiber are bulky (and heavy when damp) but paper towels too disposable. These seem like the perfect inbetween. I was initially dismayed when I unwrapped the towel in order to dry off two sets of feet after a river crossing. The square puck barely absorbed any moisture. It was only after I dunked it thoroughly in a nearby stream (fortunately for me, I had one of those handy) that the towel expanded. Soaking wet by this time of course. So I wrung it out and then it did a decent job of drying us off. Then I was carrying around a sopping wet towel. So I recommend "activating" the towel at home before the trip.

    Work better than I anticipated

Posted by Joshon on 11th Jun 2018

November 14, 2017 Work better than I anticipated. Not very big but I've been able to wipe off food from eating utensils and dirt off gear. Rise it out and reuse it plenty of times. Soaks up liquid quickly and dries out in no time. Small and light I always have one in my bag
